Background

Some faculty members of the school of pharmacy proposed the establishment of the pharmaceutical sciences research center in 2011. The proposal was discussed in the research council of Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences and the primary agreement for the development of the center entitled “new drug delivery research center” was obtained from the relevant ministry in 2012 with the follow up of the deputy of the research and technology of the university and the school of pharmacy. The center was inaugurated in 2014 after providing the preliminary infrastructures and providing the statute of the pharmaceutical sciences research center by receiving substantive agreement from the ministry of health, treatment, and medical education. On May 17^th, 2018, the title of the pharmaceutical sciences research center was changed to “new drug delivery research center” with the agreement of the relevant ministry. Afterwards, all scientific products were published in domestic and foreign scientific assemblies with the new title and address. Considering the capabilities of faculty members and laboratory facilities of the center, as well as numerous research activities and publication of scientific articles in international journals, the center was able to obtain the definite agreement of the ministry of health, treatment, and medical education based on the order issued in the 200^th session of the council for the development of medical sciences.
